Our latest electric vehicles combine high-capacity batteries with range-enhancing technologies to easily travel long distances on a single charge. For example, the Mustang Mach-E is capable of traveling up to 600km before needing a recharge.

HOW DO ELECTRIC VEHICLES WORK?

Our all-electric vehicles are equipped with high-performance lithium-ion batteries. Thanks to their high energy capacity, lithium-ion batteries are able to store a lot of power in a small and light unit.

Here's how electric vehicles work: A charge supplies the batteries with chemical energy, which they can then "dump" into the connected motor. This is what powers the Ford electric vehicle and ensures such a smooth ride.

All of our electric vehicles are also equipped with a regenerative braking system. The energy that would otherwise be lost during braking or when the vehicle coasts is recovered and sent directly to the battery, thus allowing the electric range of the electric vehicle to be maximized.
